The Turkish bath, which can be categorized as a wet relative of the sauna, occurs in steam-filled room where humidity reaches 100 %.

The experienced temperature is achieved by a stratified fog whose temperature is around 20-25° C at the lower level, and 40-45° at the upper one. As the steam settles on the skin, the body answers with a beneficial perspiration, usually lower than in a sauna, in order to prolong the session and increase the sweating.
